The Embassy of Peru in Romania organized two workshops of cultural promotion in the schools of the Romanian capital, the highschool ”Mircea cel Bătrân” and the secondary school ”181”, on May 30 and 31, 2017.
Presentations on the culture, history and geography of our country were made during this visit, including the City of Caral, the Nazca Lines, the Lord of Sipan, the Inca culture, the city of Machu Picchu, the lake Titicaca, as well as the flora, fauna and the traditional dances of our country. The presentation was followed by an exhibition on music instruments, as quena and zampoña, and ended with the interpretation of Andean traditional music.
It is worth mentioning that, for the second year consecutively, these workshops were organized by the Embassy of Peru in coordination with the Bucharest School Inspectorate, an entity which dedicates this week of the year to a series of educational extracurricular activities regarding different subjects that are not included in the ordinary curriculum. The said project was called ”The Week of Doing School Differently”.
