On September 29, 2017, at the Presidential Palace in Chișinău, Ambassador María Eugenia Echeverría Herrera presented to the President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, the Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the said country.
Subsequently, during the reunion between the Moldavian dignitary and the Ambassador, President Dodon expressed the disposition of his Government to strengthen the bilateral relations in various fields, especially in the economic and commercial area. Coinciding with this objective, Ambassador Echeverría announced the arrival, on October 3, 2017, of the first delegation of Peruvian entrepreneurs to Chisinau. The possibility of carrying out cooperation agreements between the institutions responsible for both countries in areas of mutual interest, such as agriculture, education and culture, was also mentioned.
Ambassador Echeverría also met the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Mrs. Daniela Morari, with whom reviewed the bilateral agenda and reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to strengthen it.
