As part of the work of promoting the cultural heritage of our country, the Embassy of Peru in Croatia, in collaboration with the Honorary Consulate of Peru in Zagreb, inaugurated, on October 25, 2016, the photography exhibition “Qhapaq Ñan”, composed by images of various sections of the Inca Trail in Peru and places related, including Caral, Chan Chan, the Nazca Lines, Choquequirao, Pachacamac and Machu Picchu. The exhibition will remain open until November 11, 2016, in the Radnicka art gallery, located in the Croatian capital.
During the opening ceremony, the Director of Radnicka Gallery expressed her satisfaction with the realization of this exhibition that allows to the community of Zagreb to learn more about the richness of the Andean cultural heritage. For his part, the Ambassador of Peru highlighted the importance and social role of the Inca Trail, as well as its relevance to the overall administration of Tawantinsuyu. He added that the Inca Trail is functional and well preserved in many of its sections, as the section leading to Machu Picchu and Qeswachaqa bridge, representing also a tourist attraction of our country.
The large audience included representatives of cultural centers, members of the diplomatic and consular corps, cultural press, authorities and students, as well as the Peruvian community resident in Zagreb, who participated in a reception after the inauguration.
