On Monday, December 4, 2017, in the city of Sarajevo, Ambassador María Eugenia Echeverría presented to Mr. Dragan Covic, Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Letters of Credence accrediting her as Ambassador of Peru in this country.
During the reunion with President Covic, he expressed his desire that the good relationship that unites the two countries become more intense and diversified, offering all the support to the Ambassador of Peru administration. Agriculture, tourism, hydroelectric power, fight against drugs and terrorism are among the areas in which the cooperation between the two countries could advance. Regarding the bilateral trade, it was highlighted that the accession of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the European Union would contribute to its growth thanks to the Multiparty Trade Agreement in force with Peru since 2012. On this occasion, Ambassador Echeverría also thanked President Covic for the recent decision to eliminate the visa requirements for the Peruvian citizens.
