On May 30, 2017, the Embassy of Peru in Romania inaugurated the photographic exhibition ”Perú Amazónico”, at the headquarters of the Instituto Cervantes of Bucharest. The exhibition gathered 54 images of the Peruvian Amazonia, of the population of its cities and the native communities living there. This exhibition, work of 18 well-known Peruvian photographers, will be opened until June 30, 2017.
The said inauguration counted on the participation of various Ambassadors and members of the Diplomatic Corps, students, representatives of the community of compatriots who live in this capital, entities and cultural organizations and persons interested in the Peruvian and Latin American culture, who were given flyers regarding this exhibition in Spanish, Romanian and English.
In the opening speech, that was preceded by a promotional video of the Peruvian tourism, the Ambassador of Peru emphasized the diversity of the Amazonian people and the importance of their ancestral knowledge for Peru and for the world. In the same way, highlighted the importance of Amazon as one of the biggest reserve of natural resources, of flora and fauna in the world, shared with neighbor countries of Peru.
The participants were offered a Pisco Sour and Peruvian appetizers after the ceremony of inauguration.
