We hereby inform Peruvian communities resident in the following countries: Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova and Montenegro that in the process of implementing the system of biometric passports, these passports began to be issued as of July 11, 2016.
It should be noted that in order to achieve them, you must present a receipt for 70 US dollars, amount determined by the appropriate Peruvian authorities.
We also inform you that the term of validity for biometric passports will be 5 years. Regarding previous passports that were issued until July 8th, they will be valid for the period mentioned in them.
It is also necessary to specify that in order to enter the countries belonging to the Schengen area (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Hungary), you must have a passport that does not have an age greater than 10 years.
The Peruvian passport must have a validity of at least three months at the moment of leaving the European ground.
