On Tuesday, November 7, the Embassy of Peru in Romania, in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute of Bucharest, inaugurated the Peruvian Film Days in this city, with the award-winning movie “Contracorriente”, at the headquarters of the said institute.
During the event Peruvian Film Days, four films will be screened at the Instituto Cervantes until next Friday, November 10, 2017. Besides the drama “Contracorriente”, by director Javier Fuentes-León, the Romanian public has the opportunity to enjoy on Wednesday, November 08, 2017, the comedy “El Destino do not have favorites”, by Alvaro Velarde; on Thursday, November 09, 2017, the musical “Locos de Amor”, by Frank Perez-Garland, and the last day, “Pantaleón y las Visitadoras”, directed by Francisco Lombardi.
It is worth mentioning that the inauguration, which began with the welcome speech offered by the Director of the Cervantes Institute and the Ambassador of Peru, benefited from a room full of spectators, including journalists and people interested in Latin American culture, as well as members of the Diplomatic Corps and the Peruvian community with residence in this city. After the screening of the film, a Peruvian cocktail with Pisco Sour was offered.
The event was widely promoted by the local mass media, including the newspapers “Nine O’Clock” and “Romania Insider”, as well as Radio Romania International.
