Continuing the presentation of the activities of Peruvian culture, the Embassy of Peru in Romania conducted the workshops “Discover Peru”, at “Nicolae Iorga” and “Alexandru Vlahuţă” Theoretical High Schools on 19th and 21st of this month. Both are secondary schools, part of the public education system.
In the event mentioned above was made a presentation on the culture and history of our country, which included information about Caral, the Nazca Lines, Lord of Sipan, the Incas, Machu Picchu, geography, flora, fauna and traditional dances of our country. This presentation was followed by a presentation of musical instruments such as quena and zampoña, culminating with a performance of traditional Andean music.
The aforementioned events were organized in cooperation with Bucharest School Inspectorate, entity that dedicates this week to a series of educational extracurricular activities giving students the opportunity to learn about various topics that are not included in the curriculum, in what constitutes “Different School Activities Week” (”Săptămâna Școala Altfel”).
